Hope springs eternal

Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.

-Alexander Pope,
An Essay on Man, Epistle I, 1733

So does hope spring eternal?

After asking him like a million questions about what to wear and everything else; I got ready and met up with DD in town. We parked and walked up Wellington Street only to find us walking into Toff's. It was a really nice authentic Indian restaurant. I felt like I was in India when I walked in coz the deco was brilliant. It was cozy, romantic and there was also a section where they displayed all kinda Indian music instruments. Very nice…Oh not to forget the waiters; they were really pleasant as well. I think because it’s a family owned place, its more personal.

And the food,, well, it was good. But I must say my all time favorite is Papa J’s in Luton. God..Their food is to die for (it’s a must try) but this place wasn’t too far behind.

We talked and talked and talked. This time it was about us, our likes and dislikes about certain topics and other stuff. It was so so good. You know for a change; nowadays we mostly find ourselves talking about the wedding, house and job.

After dinner, we walked up to cineworld to catch a movie. It was about 10pm and we managed to get tix for Bruno. Hhmmm .. It was funny in a weird over top way. I still can’t believe he interviewed terrorist. God .. That boy has got some balls!!

We ended the night with a long walk back to the car.

This is definitely one of the best dates ever! Thank you for making my day!

It's a Date !

So it’s been ages since I wrote anything. Hhmm not good. And busy is not a good enough reason, but I am!! I have been travelling a fair bit and hardly find the time to write. *_*

Anyways, today, DoobieBaby told me to go home, get ready n meet him in town about 7ish. I am not sure about the details but apparently we are going on a date. Like a proper proper date! Awww .. He is the sweetest! And I can’t bloody wait- for the date and to marry him officially!

I mean, yes we do go out all the time and do stuff, but you know when you first start dating, everything is so official, new and different. Don’t get me wrong, I love where we are now, living together, comfortable with each other and it’s just so natural they we way we are with each other. But sometimes, it’s nice to rekindle the past.

Thank god I have him in my life and thank god it’s Friday! WoopWoopWoop!!

*I love you today
As I have from the start,
And I'll love you forever
With all of my heart.*

Rhythm of the world – Hitchin 4th July 09

Me and DD try and go for this festival every year coz not only you get to meet random old friends there but there are a lot of good music, entertainment and food.

This time we went with Bala, his friend Naveena and us. Not to mention all the other we met up there and chilled with. We couldn’t have asked for a better weather! It used to be free in the streets of Hitchin but this time we had to pay £7 per entry, and everytime you wanted to come out, you had to repay again?! Wat the hell for??!! Anyways, it was not too bad.

Rhythm of the world is a registered charity set up to support the arts across North Hertfordshire, to celebrate our world culture and to give a focus for people of all ages, race, ability and economic diversity to come together. There were stages set up all around with such different music. Its nice coz you get you pick what you like and sit around there. So many people were dressed up in fancy outfits and others were just trying to get as much alcohol as they can into their mouth. Lol .

One thing which I didn’t like was the amount of teens just hanging about there; making a fool out of themselves. I saw this one girl trying to persuade this lady to give her 1 glass of white wine for £10. Haha .. But that lady told her to take a hike. But these kids still managed to get alcohol from god knows where. Drunk and stupid!

Anyways, it was indeed a good day out. We didn’t get back home till about 11 ish. The 4 of us stayed awake late even though the next day we had another road trip planned!

** me love bubblessss

** yes it was bloody hot!!** we were there from about 11 in the mornin and reached home when the sky was as above

Tired and sleepy .. hhmmm ..

Hmm I’m feeling really bad for skipping so many days without writing. I mean, so many things happened since my Manchester trip. So many things!! But I am really swamped with work at the moment. Either I come home late working or I am at a customer’s place. When I reach home, I cook, eat and I’m ready for bed.

Even now I am struggling to keep my eyes open and I haven’t even eaten dinner! Tomorrow I’m off to Middlesex Uni. *fingers crossed everything will go as planned*
Note to self : take it easy !!

So much to tell but the internet connection is crap .. So many interesting things happened. Well, for a start, Paul left the company. Surprise surprise ! Anyways, the conference is going well though. Met all my customers, had a good chat with them and am feeling pretty great about things now. Oh well, need to catch up with work before the internet plays up again.

Oh oh, one note about our hotel room. It SUCKS. Too freaking HOT! Manchester Convention Center is not all that.
